Legal notice
Who you aredealing with.
Also known as the aviso legal. Last updated 18 September 2026.
Why this page exists
European law on electronic commerce, applied in Lithuania through the Law on Information Society Services, requires anyone running a website with a commercial purpose to publish who they are, permanently and in an easily accessible place. This is that page. The Dancer's Desk is run from Lithuania.

- Registration: TO COMPLETE your individual activity certificate number (individualios veiklos pažyma), or the company code if you register a company
- VAT number: TO COMPLETE only if you are VAT registered; otherwise say so

These details have to be real and they have to be yours. They are a legal requirement before anything is sold from this site, not a formality, and the email must be one that is actually read.
What this site does
It publishes a free atlas of dance companies, a free list of resources, and a free desk for tracking an audition season. It also sells digital planners as downloads. The terms of those sales are on the terms page, and what happens to your data is on the privacy page.
The information on the atlas
The company information, audition pages, directors and links are gathered from each organisation's own published material and checked by hand. They change constantly and without notice. They are offered in good faith and as a starting point, not as a guarantee: always confirm a deadline or a requirement on the company's own site before acting on it. Nothing here is a representation made on behalf of any company listed, and no company listed is connected to this site.
Links to other sites
This site links to hundreds of other organisations. It does not control them and is not responsible for what they publish or for what happens once you follow a link.
Who owns what
The text, design, illustrations, planners and the atlas as a compiled collection belong to the person named above. The planners are sold for personal use by the buyer; they may not be resold, shared or redistributed. Company names, logos and trade marks belong to the companies themselves and appear here only to identify them.
Which law applies
Lithuanian law applies. Nothing here removes the protections a consumer has under the law of the country they live in, which for consumers in the European Union always continue to apply.
